HID Xenon Bulb Upgrading Your Car’s Lamps by Bellaxie2011
As a relatively new innovation in automotive lighting, HID Xenon lights were first offered as an expensive cars and then creep into low grade cars. HID stands for High Intensity Discharge which is used to produce powerful light ideal for driving in all weather conditions such as rainy periods or days with mist of fog. It is easy to spot a car that has HID xenon bulb.
Unlike ordinary halogen headlight bulbs, HID xenon bulb uses a very high voltage spark to ignite the xenon gas inside the bulb which do not contain a conventional metal filament to create a much more intense and powerful light.
Now, it is time of upgrade the old car lights with the HID xenon lamps. There are many advantages of using HID xenon lamps.
1. Brighter. Xenon lights are almost three times brighter than standard halogen bulbs, which is also ideal especially during the presence of tough weather conditions link rain or fog even in the night. The light closely mimics the color temperature of natural daylight, thus, making them more effulgent.
2. Efficiency. Xenon lamps have six to eight times lumens efficacy rating than incandescent bulbs. They operate on a much lower power than halogen bulbs which is greatly save energy and therefore fuel. By using HID xenon lights, one can easily save 1 / 2, halogen consuming more than 60W of power, just a 35W xenon lamp power.
3. Long lasting. They also last a long time, up to 2000 hours, because they don’t burn away their element like halogen bulbs which can have a low life-span of around just 450 hours. As the xenon lamp has no filament, and therefore does not produce the filament off and scrapped due to the problem. It is lasting up to 10 times longer than halogen bulbs that meaning less time and money spent at the garage.
4. Environmentally friendly.
5. Good color temperature: It varies between 4300K and 12000K. 6000K is similar to sunlight, and is greatly appreciated by most users. Color temperature of halogen lamps is around 3000K, which is dark and reddish.
6. Stylish. You can dramatically enhance the overall feel of your ride by just simply changing its headlights. It comes in different colors so you don’t have to stick to just the one boring shard of yellowy white like before.
Maybe you will find that the price of HID xenon bulb is so expensive that out of your budget. However they do not have to be replaced in pairs and because of their exceptional service life they do still offer great value for money.
