Does anyone know what happens when…..?
you use a kerosene lantern indoors? I use one to read at night cuz I dont wanna turn on the light and wake everyone up. I fell asleep and didnt turn it out so this morning my house was greyish looking and later on I had to blow my nose and black stuff came out. How dangerous is this? Should I be worried? Maybe my lungs are filled with this black stuff.

You really need to be careful when using a kerosene lantern or heater indoors. Carbon Monoxide poisoning is a real danger and you must have adequate ventilation:
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas that can build up in your blood cells as you breathe. It can reach toxic levels in minutes or over several hours. Early symptoms of poisoning include dizziness, headache, and/or nausea.
You are more susceptible to CO poisoning when you’re asleep, since you won’t recognize the symptoms. Getting out in the open air doesn’t immediately rid your body of CO. It takes 10 to 24 hours, so suffocation can still occur after you have left toxic areas.
